My name is Sara Kabil and I live in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates with my husband and three daughters, where we have been for almost ten years.  I am originally from Egypt, however, I only spent my summers there as I grew up and went to school in London. Growing up and living in many different parts of the world has meant that I identify with many different cultures and have been exposed to a lot of diversity.

I initially studied business administration at university and worked as a brand manager on consumer products, organizing marketing campaigns and commercials. After several years working on detergents and shampoos, I decided that teaching was my true passion. I have 5 years experience teaching lower elementary at an  international school in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The school caters primarily for expatriate students and has a very diverse student body spanning more than 40 different nationalities. I have taught students at the secondary level specialising in Business Studies, Economics and Entrepreneurship.

My first teaching experience was at an inner city school in London that was looking for volunteers to teach children. After a year of intensive tutoring, several of my students achieved a pass grade B and C in their GCSEs, something that neither they nor their parents thought was a possibility at the beginning of the academic year. This was one of the experiences that encouraged me to pursue teaching on a full time basis. My experience teaching in the UK as well as Abu Dhabi has exposed me to a great diversity of nationalities within the classroom that has helped me understand the needs and requirements of a wide variety of students.
